You are warmly invited to a Shambhala Children's Day and Winter Solstice celebration
    Thursday, December 21, 4pm

At Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort & Retreat

Children’s Day and Winter Solstice are both celebrated on December 21st. Because this marks the time of year when daylight has waned and the night is longest, light is a special characteristic of this holiday. At a time when darkness is prevalent, we celebrate our children and their natural ability to remind us of the warmth, heart, and cheerfulness of basic goodness. It is an opportunity for families with young children and for the entire sangha to celebrate our lineage, and our place in the Shambhala world.

This year we will celebrate with a candle and song ceremony, a lhasang ceremony, bonfire with stories (weather-permitting), setting a personal "Act of Kindness" intention and with a potluck feast.

    What to bring:

    * Good boots and layers of clothing so you can be warm outdoors
    * A dish and drink to share for the potluck dinner

Please RSVP Barbara, 902 929 2584, [email protected], by December 20.

Free of Charge - donations gratefully accepted
